Egle Budvytyte

Leap. 2009. Video, sound, 5 min.

The film features:
How to access the dead
How to enter a child’s head and a bird’s body
How architecture can be used and abused
To jump, to stretch, to hide

Egle Budvytyte’s work focuses on how our awareness of and sensitivity to the environment is constructed and conditioned. Using radio broadcasts, videos and semi-scripted situations the artist questions our codes of behaviour and the idea of architecture and urban layouts as expressions of ideologies of progress, efficiency and economic growth.
